Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), kimejigamba kwamba kimeweza kuzuia ‘mafuriko’ kwa mikono huku kikiwatakia  kila la kheri baadhi ya makada wake waliotangaza kutogombea kupitia chama hicho pamoja na wale waliokihama na wanaotaka kukihama.
